The automatic coextrusion plant for the production of silicone catheters with a radiopaque line is extremely innovative in its kind, since it is electronically managed from a control and supervision system.
The coextrusion plant is composed by 2 Ø 14 mm coextruders with motorized feeding rollers to enable the feeding by means of a strap (bar) from a coextrusion tubing head, a furnace group for the vulcanisation, a 2-axes laser measure head and from a conveyer and a cutting device.
Through a 2-axes laser measure head, the system measures and visualizes the outer Ø of the tube and if necessary it adjusts the conveyer speed.
The "formulas" which can be memorized from the system, will enable the machine to reproduce the same operative conditions automatically.
The continuous control of the extruded product, assures a high precision of the same, constant and repetitive, enabling to document the whole productive cycle, in accordance with ISO certification normative.
In case of speed variation, due to the operator, the system automatically corrects all process parameters, respecting the dimensional set up quotes.
The system manages every machine adjusting:
- screw r.p.m. variation of the main extruder as well as coextruder and as regards the feeling rollers, changing them in synchronism
- the temperature of the 3 zones of the vulcanisation furnace
- the conveyer speed, the length of tube's cut.
NOTE: On request we can supply a PC control system to time the production in meters, discard (waste of material), prices of raw material, selling price of material, profit etc.
